Running more accounts at the same time from one folder/cache doesnt increase game stability for me.
I need to rebuild my Vista box, but at the very least a possible solution could be to use RunAs to launch a second client as another user. ---- AUS Corp Lead Megalomanic |

This does indeed work. It's not a great solution in any way, but if/until CCP introduces something better this will allow multiple clients to be run correctly against separate cache folders. This is only tested under Vista BTW, but it should work under XP too.
1. Create 1+ accounts for EVE, and log in to each so that Windows sets them up correctly. 2. Make a new copy of EVE if needed, then start up EVE and configure it how you'd like. 3. Log out and go back to your main account. Create a batch file with the following and put it in the copy of EVE you're allocating to the new account:
runas /profile /user:ComputerName\NewAccountName "eve.exe"
4. Create a shortcut to this as necessary.
It's not a very elegant solution, but it'll cause the second EVE client to be fired up using the extra Windows account and hence seperate their settings/cache folders. ---- AUS Corp Lead Megalomanic |

So basically, if I follow those three steps my cache will remain in the same place? Or will it be in its own folder in documents & settings/bla/bla?
It'll remain the same old place. ---- AUS Corp Lead Megalomanic |
